The work

What we make, and what it's for.

  • Web development

    Sites that earn their keep.

Business sites and web apps, built with speed and small screens in mind, and set up so they are easy to change later.

  • Mobile apps

Apps that fit in a pocket.

iPhone and Android apps, native or cross-platform, depending on what the job actually needs.

  • Cloud and DevOps

    Cloud without the fog.

Moving to the cloud, setting it up as code, and keeping the running costs and the risks in view.

  • Design and branding

Marks that hold up on a napkin and a truck door.

Logos, brand identity, and the social and print pieces that go with them.

  • Custom software

Tools for work only you do.

Software and integrations shaped around how your business runs: databases, APIs, back offices, the connective tissue.

  • Ongoing support

    Someone who knows your system.

Updates, fixes and monitoring after launch, on terms we agree in your quote.

How it goes

Four steps, in this order.

  1. Talk it through

You tell us what you are after and what is still fuzzy. We ask questions until we both picture the same thing.

  2. Sketch the plan

You get a written plan and a quote: what gets built, in what order, and what we need from your side.

  3. Build in the open

You see working pieces along the way, not one big reveal. Changes to the plan go through us in writing.

  4. Stay around

After launch we can keep looking after it, on terms we agree in the quote. Or we hand it over cleanly, with everything you need.

Shape your project

Every build is a different shape. So is every quote.

No two builds cost the same, so we don't pretend they do. Sketch yours here and it becomes a brief you can send us. We write back with a real quote.

What are we making?Pick everything that applies.
How big does it feel?A gut feeling is fine.
When do you need it?

The project builder needs JavaScript. You can still write to us directly at texanlinkllc@gmail.com. Tell us what you're making, how big it feels, when you need it, and what's still fuzzy. We write back with a real quote.

What moves a quote

  • How much there is to build
  • How soon you need it
  • What it has to connect to: payments, logins, other systems
  • Whether the words and images are ready
  • Who looks after it afterwards

Who's behind it

Questions

Things people ask before they write.

How much will it cost?

It depends on what you are building, which is why there is no price list. Tell us about it (the project builder above is the quickest way) and we will write you a real quote. Texas sales tax is added to invoices where the law requires it.

Shape your project →

Do you build to order, or start from a template?

We build to your needs rather than reskinning a template. Where a proven open-source tool is the right fit, we will say so and use it.

How long does a project take?

Most projects land somewhere between two and eight weeks, depending on their size and how quickly we can get answers and content from you. Your quote includes a timeline.

What technology do you use?

Whatever fits the job. Day to day that is React, Node.js, Python and PHP, on cloud platforms such as AWS.

Can I change things after it is delivered?

Yes. Small fixes and larger changes are handled under the terms in your quote, and ongoing support is available if you want it.

Who owns the finished work?

You do, once the invoice is paid. Our own tools and open-source parts stay under their own licences. The details are in the Terms.

What happens to what I send you?

We use it to reply and to do the work, and we do not sell it. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.
